A: Youth mentoring is a supportive relationship between a young person and trusted adult. It's a space where young people can make sense of their inner world, through processing their thoughts and feelings out loud.

At Worthie, we believe the primary role of a youth mentor is to listen without judgement or needing to fix. We aim to inspire young people to listen to their inner wisdom, building self esteem and confidence in the process.

Young people are dealing with a lot of pressures; school, friendships and societal expectations often top the list. Youth mentors provide a space where young people can feel seen, heard and understood so they can better cope with the ups and downs of growing up.

Yes. We will keep the information your young person shares with us confidential. Unless we have reason to believe your young person may harm themselves or others, in which case we are obligated to report it.

A: Yes! We are currently working on some workshops on self esteem, friendships and relationships in Brisbane for 2026 - more information coming soon.
